From deadstock of the famous designer, this is a gorgeous wool woven, an opaque, medium-weight suiting with some body in the drape and no stretch. It has a tight twill weave with a smooth hand and a yarn-dyed tweedy, speckled design in vivid magenta and black for an overall impression of dark magenta (PANTONE 19-2315 is close to the overall impression). A modern yet refined take on a classic, and it looks the same on both sides. See the last image for a garment from the designer's ready to wear line.
